Christopher Davitt is the Fund Manager for the Dexus Wholesale Australian Property Fund and has overarching responsibility for setting the Fund’s strategy and capital management. Prior to joining AMP Capital, Christopher was Vice President at a real estate private equity firm based in London. He also looked after our key intermediary research relationships. Ruben started his professional journey in 2005 at Ernst and Young as an auditor. In 2008 he made a move into the retail broking environment, which in 2012 culminated into an in-house portfolio management role with a Melbourne-based wealth manager. In this role he was responsible for the investment strategy across 5 managed accounts (high growth through to conservative), which invested in direct shares, passive-style funds, smart-beta funds and actively managed funds across the major asset classes (domestic and global shares, listed property, listed infrastructure, fixed income and cash).

Steve is an independent Investment Committee member for financial advice firms and provides his expertise and experience in areas such as policymaking, planning, asset allocation, implementation and the evaluation of investment strategies and investment managers.
For nearly two decades, he played a key role in helping grow the Australian arm of global asset manager Dimensional Fund Advisors. During his career he managed Australian and global equity portfolios, managed the Asia Pacific trading team, and oversaw the introduction of direct market access trading. For the last 10 years at Dimensional he specialized in managing the firm’s fixed interest and credit strategies.
Before joining Dimensional in 2001, Steve was on the faculty of the University of New South Wales. His teaching and research interests were in optical fiber technology and quantitative finance.

Tim Cook is Head of Client Strategy for Russell Investments’ in Australia spanning both Institutional and Retail clients, based in the Sydney office.
Tim leads the Implemented Consulting business and is involved in providing a range of consulting services to institutional and retail, superannuation and non-superannuation clients. He provides advice in areas such as investment policy and strategy, asset allocation, manager selection, portfolio structuring and implementation.
Prior to this Tim worked for Russell in the London office as an Associate Director in Client Strategy & Research providing investment strategy advice to Russell’s institutional and retail clients in Europe. In this role he focused on asset-liability modelling and liability hedging strategies, supporting the development of our clients' strategies across Europe.
This included working closely with Russell’s Fiduciary Management offering (the origins of OCIO), designing and tailoring the client investment strategies. Tim has worked with a variety of different institutional investors in this area including pension funds, insurance companies and foundations.
Tim also sat on the Russell Global Forecasting Committee for over 10 years responsible for the production and oversight of Russell’s economic scenario generation that underpins all global strategic modelling.
Before joining Russell in November 2006, Tim was a manager in PricewaterhouseCoopers’ investment consulting practice. During his seven years there he provided strategic advice to pension funds and corporate sponsors incorporating asset liability studies, asset allocation advice, risk budgeting, liability driven investment and manager selection. Tim also headed up the team’s investment manager research process and specialized in property research.

Established in 2004, farrelly’s is the first independent, specialist asset allocation research service for investment advisory firms in Australia and New Zealand.
Its founder, Tim Farrelly, brings a unique combination of analytics, understanding of financial markets, knowledge of capital market history and insight into the practical requirements of financial advisers.
Tim is a member of Portfolio Construction Forum’s core faculty of leading investment professionals, contributing to the Conference, Markets Summit, and Academy programs.
Prior to founding farrelly’s, Tim was an Executive Director of Macquarie Bank Ltd, and Director of Macquarie Investment Management Ltd (MIML).
At various times during his 14 years at Macquarie he sat on the MIML Asset Allocation and Risk Committees, and was responsible for distribution of the Bank’s products through third party financial planners and stockbrokers.
Between 1981 and 1986, Tim was head of research for financial advisory firm, Monitor Money, where he was responsible for asset allocation and manager selection.
He has an MBA (Distinction) from the Harvard Business School and a Bachelor of Engineering (Met) from the University of Melbourne, where he was awarded the J.Neill Greenwood Medal.

Tim is an Investment Specialist, focussing on global equity funds in the Australian retail market, with a particular interest in macro-economics and sustainable investing. He joined Pengana in August 2022.
He has previously worked in London, New York and Sydney for Merrill Lynch, Schroders, QBE, AMP Capital and Mine Super across all asset classes.
Tim holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical Engineering), a Master of Science (Financial Markets and Derivatives) and an MBA from City University, London. He is also a CFA charter holder and an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Marketing.

Yan Wang is the Chief Emerging Markets & China Strategist.
In his prior roles Yan spent 15 years at BCA Research, as the Managing Editor and Chief Strategist for BCA’s China Investment Strategy service, and played a major role in formulating BCA’s view on the Greater China region and emerging Asia.
Before joining BCA, he spent six years as an equity analyst in China and Hong Kong.
Yan holds an MBA in Finance from McGill University, an M.A. in Economics from Tianjin Institute of Finance and a B.A. in Finance from Nankai University. He also holds the CFA designation.

IMAP Chair
Toby has championed IMAP's mission for a number of years and is a key contributor for IMAP (along with others) in the representation to ASIC on recent changes to the MDA regulations and ongoing regulatory matters.
His experience in the wider investments market is extensive and his advice and experience is frequently sought after for his breadth and detail, plus his knowledge of the people in the industry.
His working experience includes key roles for NAB, IOOF, Morningstar, Managed Accounts, SFG Australia
Jenny Phimleut
IMAP Program Director
Jenny manages IMAP's program of conference events, webinars and publication, and liaises with sponsors, speakers
Jenny supports and organises IMAP special interest groups i.e. The Regulatory Group, and the Data Standards Group, and works closely with Toby, David and the IMAP team.
She is responsible for maintaining IMAP's digital presence, as well processes and policies as well as developing promotional material.
Jenny's Financial Services background covers Next Financial working in Product and Portfolio Management and Shadforth Financial Group.

Lucie is a versatile professional with a strong background in events management.
She joined the IMAP team in early 2022 as an events and communications associate working closely with Jenny Phimleut and the rest of IMAP's team on our conferences, webinars and the FPA Congress managed account zone.
Over this time Lucie's role has expanded to include social media such as IMAP's linked in profile and communications, podcast and development and support of IMAP's services.
